Wax / Resin

Provides Good Abrasion and Chemical Resistance

Ideal for Use:
-With top-coated paper, semi-gloss facestocks, and matte synthetic materials (polypropylene, polyethylene).
-In environments with moderate to harsh exposure to chemicals, outdoor weathering, moisture, and/or physical abrasion.
-At high operational print speeds (Up to 10–12 ips depending on material choice).

Wax/Resin hybrid ribbons combine the flowability of wax with the intrinsic durability of synthetic resins. This precise chemical blend yields a versatile ribbon capable of bridging the gap between paper and plastic film media.

  • Mechanical & Chemical Defense: The added resin content ensures high resistance to smudging, scratching, and frequent handling. It easily withstands mild chemical splashes, water exposure, and light household solvents.

  • Substrate Versatility: Highly recommended for mid-tier synthetic facestocks. The wax component guarantees excellent ink coverage, while the resin binds directly with the synthetic topcoat for permanent adhesion.

  • Primary Deployments: Cold-chain and deep-freeze logistics, laboratory specimen tracking, shelf-edge labels, apparel tags, and outdoor warehouse racking exposed to UV and rain.
