Ribbon width must be at least the label width. A ribbon narrower than the label leaves an unprinted strip down one edge. Much wider than the label wastes material and lets debris reach the outer printhead elements.

Materials, adhesive performance, storage, shelf life and regulatory information are common to this range and are documented on our label materials & compliance page.

Check three things before you order

    1. Ribbon width vs label width

The ribbon must be at least as wide as the widest label you print, and no wider than your printer’s maximum ribbon width. A ribbon narrower than the label leaves unprinted edges down one side; a ribbon much wider than the label wastes material and lets debris reach the outer printhead elements.

      This ribbon: 4.02"
    2. Core size & roll length

The ribbon core has to match your printer’s supply spindle, and the roll length has to fit inside the ribbon compartment. Industrial printers take long rolls; desktop printers take much shorter ones and will not close on an industrial roll. Match the ribbon length to your printer, not just to the price per foot.

    3. Formulation vs label material

Wax suits uncoated paper labels for general indoor use. Wax-resin gives sharper edges and better smudge and scratch resistance on coated paper and some synthetics. Full resin is for synthetic labels — polypropylene and polyester — where the print must survive chemicals, abrasion or heat. Using a resin ribbon on plain paper, or wax on a synthetic, gives weak, easily rubbed-off print.
