The BIXOLON XD5 is a current-generation 4-inch desktop family covering direct thermal (d), thermal transfer (t) and RFID (tR) in one chassis. All variants share the same media path — 5-inch rolls on 1 or 1.5-inch cores — so the only consumable difference is whether your model needs a ribbon at all.
